From Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, Josh developed a lifelong passion for sport and physical activity. Growing up, he was heavily involved in both hockey and baseball, experiences that sparked his interest in human movement, athletic performance, and injury rehabilitation. His background as an athlete helped shape his understanding of the physical and mental demands that sport places on individuals at all levels of competition.
Josh completed a Bachelor of Human Kinetics and Recreation with a specialization in Kinesiology at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2022. Wanting to further develop his clinical skills and work more closely with athletes in the sports environment, he continued his education at Sheridan College, where he completed a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy in 2026.
Throughout his education, Josh gained experience working with athletes across a variety of sports, including hockey, football, soccer, basketball, and volleyball. He has developed a strong interest in both clinical rehabilitation and field-based athletic therapy, enjoying the challenge of helping individuals recover from injury, optimize performance, and safely return to sport.
Josh has had the opportunity to work in a variety of high-performance sport environments throughout his training. Most notably, he completed an internship with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL as a Student Athletic Therapist, working alongside experienced sports medicine professionals in a professional football setting. He also served as an Athletic Therapist with the Under 16 Halton Hurricanes, contributing to a season that culminated in an OMHA Gold Championship and an appearance at the OHL Cup.
Josh is excited to continue his career at Attain, expanding his expertise, supporting innovative projects, and making a positive impact alongside a talented team.
