To further enhance our continuum of care, we offer Certified Athletic Therapy (CAT(C)) services across both our St. John’s and Paradise clinical locations.
Athletic Therapy seamlessly integrates with our existing Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Kinesiology and Registered Massage Therapy disciplines. This addition allows us to offer an uninterrupted rehabilitation pathway, safely transitioning patients from acute injury management back to high-level sport and daily physical activity.
Certified Athletic Therapists are specialized healthcare professionals with expertise in the prevention, assessment, immediate management, and reconditioning of musculoskeletal conditions. Using the sports medicine model, their clinical approach is hands-on, exercise-based, and biomechanically focused.
At Attain, our Athletic Therapists utilize our clinical spaces to design targeted, sport-specific rehabilitation protocols. Key areas of focus include:
Return-to-Sport Reconditioning:
Implementing progressive, corrective exercise programs to resolve functional deficiencies, restore joint mechanics, and mitigate secondary injury risks to ensure complete physiological readiness for competitive play.
Hands-on Manual Therapy Techniques:
Utilizing evidence-based, hands on techniques to reduce sensitivity and allow for further rehabilitation to optimize patient outcomes and increase exercise tolerance.
General Injury Treatment and Rehabilitation:
Collaborating with our team of multi-disciplinary professionals to provide the most comprehensive rehabilitation possible for both sports injuries as well as general aches and pains.
Athletic Therapy is widely recognized by third-party extended health insurance providers. Attain offers direct billing options through the TELUS Health eClaims portal for a variety of major insurers.

Individual benefit packages vary. Patients are advised to verify that Athletic Therapy is explicitly listed under their paramedical coverage before their first appointment.
Physician Referrals:
A medical doctor's referral is not required to access Athletic Therapy services. However, certain insurance policies may require a physician's prescription on file to authorize third-party billing. We recommend checking your insurance policy before your appointment to determine whether a prescription is needed for Athletic Therapy coverage.
